Like any other sport one is able to make a living out of gambling and this is professional gambling and it is not for everyone as one has to be every good to compete with the best in the world.
Gambling is not know as a sport but rather is said to accompany sport as a lot of people bet on the outcome of different sporting events such as final of the soccer world cup. Many people will agree that horse racing and that of greyhounds has always been accompanied by betting on which animal they think is going to win.
Like any other pastime questions have been raised over the disadvantages and the advantages it brings to the sport. Many people have argued that gambling in major sporting events puts to much pressure on the athletes to perform as there would be a lot of money at stake both for the spectator and the athlete and this they say leads to doping that is trying to gain an unfair advantage by drinking or taking drugs to make one perform better.
Other people have argued that athletes as professionals should be able to handle the pressure that comes with performing at the highest level. No matter what people say gambling will always be in us for example at home when watching a soccer game we gamble not with money but just verbally and our reward for guessing the correct team that wins is not financial as well but rather the satisfaction that we got it right and so gambling we can say starts at home. Without even noticing it we are gambling and that sows the seeds of a past time that will grow as long as it is being fed. We feed it by slowly accepting small rewards for guessing or the games we play at home like playing poke for match sticks that is gambling even though we might think other wise.
People go to the sporti9ng events so as to feel what the athlete is feeling they gamble all in the name of trying to bring themselves as close to what the athlete is feeling and having something to loge as the athlete has if he or she does not win, this I call gambling for association the need to feel apart of something, a stakeholder so to speak. To people who thought people who have gambling problems or gamble are not doing the right thing stop to think whether you are not including your self for as they say everyone has his price the only difference is currency.
